So I ignored that, and went on to chopping up a drum break. It still wouldn't match up to the metronome. Since i'm making a beat, i changed the bpm to 90 (as most of my beats are).
The problem there was that i couldn't get the chops to match to the metronome, and the bpm was at 120 bpm. I sliced one up and put it in an exs24 file, and then i proceeded to put the slices into the piano roll where i set it up the way i wanted. So I spent some time learning how to chop up vocal/instrument samples in Logic and arranged them. In fl, there's an instrument called the FL Slicer which slices tracks, and automatically warps the bpm of the sample to fit the "master" bpm. I used FL Studio to make beats in the past before I got a macbook pro and decided to try logic.
